Access keys

This website should be usable with only a keyboard, and follows the UK government access keys system. The following information details each of the keyboard shortcut commands available to you. To use the shortcuts, follow the instructions below:

Access keys (how to use them in your browser)

Internet Explorer 5+ (PC)
Hold down the ALT key, press the number of the access key, release both keys then press ENTER

Internet Explorer 4 (PC)
Hold down the ALT key and press the number of the access key

Internet Explorer 5+ (Mac)
Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key

Internet Explorer 4.5 (Mac)
Access keys are not supported

Netscape 6 and earlier (PC and Mac)
Access keys are not supported

Netscape 7 (PC)
Hold down the ALT key and press the number of the access key

Firefox, Mozilla (PC)
Hold down the ALT key and press the number of the access key

Firefox, Mozilla (Mac)
Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key

Safari and Omniweb (Mac)
Hold down the CTRL key and press the number of the access key

Opera
Hold down the Shift key and press Escape, release both keys, then press the number of the accesskey

Changing Text sizes

Firefox - hold down 'Ctrl' and press either + or - to increase or decrease the font-size on the page (if you have a middle scroller on your mouse; whilst holding down the 'Ctrl' button, scroll up to decrease and scroll down to increase font-size)

Internet Explorer 5 and 6 - whilst holding down the 'Ctrl' button, scroll up to decrease and scroll down to increase font-size

Wherever you see this icon download icon it is an indication that there is a file available to download.

Acronyms
