Bail application
An application for the appellant to be released from detention. Certain conditions would be imposed if the appellant is released.

Bail variation
An application to consider changes to the appellant's bail conditions.

Case progression hearing
A hearing to determine how the case will move forward. Something may be stopping the case from continuing in the normal way so a hearing is needed to decide what will happen.

Directions hearing
A hearing between the parties and the Chairman to decide when certain stages of an appeal will take place and when certain documents should be sent in.

Handing down of judgments
When a case has been heard and the Chairman has made a written decision on the outcome, this judgment will be handed down in court.

High judicial office
Senior judicial office at the level of the High Court or above.
